2- Department of Hearing and Applied Speech
Definition of the department:
Able to assist patients of all ages including children with developmental delays, congenital disabilities, intellectual disabilities, hearing impairment, autism, cerebral palsy, and acquired disabilities such as brain injuries and strokes. This program is distinguished by its comprehensiveness of all relevant scientific courses taught in prestigious universities in the United States of America. The program includes classroom learning, practical experiences and intensive clinical training to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required to enable them to work with patients efficiently. Students learn about the anatomy and physiology of the mechanisms of speech and hearing, sound and their perception, and the development of language and communication systems; audio system components; Neurological bases of speech, language, and hearing, and strategies used in the management and evaluation of speech and language disorders and hearing defects.
