Conditions for admission to the department in the bachelor’s stage

– Admission systems and general standards established by the subject in the Faculty of Information in terms of total kidney plus grades to the Arabic language materials, English and French are required to pass a personal interview test

3- Paying attention to the quality of media education in order to provide scientific competencies and qualified cadres to serve the needs of society and all its development sectors.

4- Teaching, training, preparing and preparing students according to contemporary professional and technical foundations and according to the latest teaching methods to secure distinguished outputs capable of competing in the contemporary media labor market.

Other divisions may be created based on the proposal of the competent councils.

Students are accepted in the scientific departments of the college after obtaining the general secondary certificate in its scientific and literary branches, taking into account the admission and differentiation conditions determined by the Higher Education Council.

 

Academic degrees awarded by the college and duration of study

The university grants, based on the proposal of the College of Mass Communication Council, the following academic degrees:

B – Master’s degree in mass communication in the specializations specified by the college’s postgraduate studies system.

C – PhD in media in the specializations determined by the special system for postgraduate studies in the college.

d- Diploma of qualification and specialization in the specializations specified by the system for this diploma in the college.

C – Master’s degree qualification and specialization in the specializations specified by the system for this degree in the college.

The duration of the study will be as follows:

1- The duration of study to obtain a bachelor’s degree in media is four academic years.

2- The study period for obtaining the master’s and doctoral degrees is determined as stated in the college’s postgraduate studies system.

3- The period of study for obtaining a master’s diploma, qualification and specialization, as stated in the special system for these two degrees.

One of the courses of the study plan in the third and fourth years is taught in a foreign language, and at the beginning of each year the College Council determines this course.

Exams at the undergraduate level

Of taking into account the special provisions contained in the examinations of the Executive Regulations of the Law universities; The following exam rules apply:

1- The maximum mark for each course /100/ is determined by one hundred marks, and the College Council, based on the proposal of the concerned department at the beginning of the year, determines the percentage of the mark for each of the practical part and the end-of-semester exam for all courses, and the passing mark for courses is set at (50) fifty marks.

 

The graduation project is a course according to the following:

A- The College Council, based on a proposal from the Department Council at the beginning of the year, determines the topics of the projects, the place of their realization, the professors supervising them, the basis for assigning students to them, their date, and other matters related to them.

B – Students discuss their projects before an examining committee proposed by the department council and approved by the college council on the date set by the university council.

Objectives:

  • Graduating contemporary social network experts who possess sufficient information, skill and practical experience to engage them easily in modern and technologically advanced work environments.

  • Enhancing the skills and abilities of a graduate in the field of communication in the field of social networks to be a pioneer able to establish his own project in modern work environments based on entrepreneurship projects, preparing him to be a consultant in the field, and preparing him to establish a consulting team.

  • Enriching the corporate and institutional community with social networking experts, experts who have the vision and the ability to provide new content and content, and to provide forms of work open to all fields and disciplines.

  • He will be able to get a job in any of the local, Arab and international media organizations of all kinds and fields of work.

  • He will be an able and experienced journalist in various fields of media, and he will have a specialization in social networks and a full awareness of their nature and their different audiences.

  • He will be able to write in various types of media work, specifically related and appropriate content for social networks.

  • He will be able to produce informative articles in various multimedia formats.

  • The ability to adapt modern technologies in the production of distinguished media content.

  • The ability to address political, social and cultural issues in various forms of media, whether press, radio or television, and to integrate all these forms and media with each other to be in the media of social networks.
